urban landscape

I took this photo while living in Brooklyn.
I think I might have been craving a little
nature. I've always loved this for some reason.

pastel

This is the second duplication after Manet.
I love his paintings. It was really fun trying to
match his style with pastels.

pastel

The two posts from today are duplications done in pastel.
The originals are oil paintings done by the artist Manet.

This was just for fun. It's either cute or creepy...I'm still not sure :)

This is an old house that I've driven past countless times
on the freeway in Agoura Hills, California. One afternoon
I was driving past it right after a rain storm, and when the
sun came out the lighting and colors were so strong and pretty,
I had to pull over and get a picture.

I love walking around looking for interesting buildings to photograph.
Lately I've gone back through old photographs to find pictures that would
work as a painting. I loved the lighting and different textures on this
house.
